Vail Daily letter: Another Hitler

Over the past 50 years the U.S. has been governed by centralist, Kennedy and Clinton left of center, Reagan, Bush’s right of center with an on-again and off-again center Congress. There were ups and downs, but mostly everything was moving up around a mostly center political economy and government.

Then in the early 2000s, the far left liberals, via the new media the Internet, started stirring up the muck and two new political groups arose – the Tea Party on the extreme right and the Obamacrats (for the lack of a better description) on the extreme left.

It is obvious that the Obamacrats want big government controlling our freedom and the Tea Party wants small government or more private sector controlling our freedom, with the Blue Dog Democrats and the moderate Republicans trying to keep the peace and the country more central or neutral.

The Obamacrats, led by their charismatic leader Barack Obama, learned what Adolf Hitler learned in the 1930s, that the way to power is through the down and trodden, the poor, the low classes, the labor unions and blame the rich (Jews) for all their troubles. Hitler gave speech after speech to spread his bitterness that it was the Jews (rich) who were the cause of all your problems.

Sound familiar? It worked for Hitler and apparently is working very well for Mr. Obama. If you can’t see what is going on in this country today, then you are no better than the middle class Germans of the 1930s who stood by and let disaster destroy their country. You who follow the Obamacrats are viewing the current political arena with blinders. You are not looking at the big picture, only what’s in it for me or my demographic group. As the saying goes, you can’t see the forest for the trees.
