Vail Daily letter: Awesome fundraiser
Vail, CO, Colorado
Last week Love for the Ladies Rail Jam raised $23,000, setting a new record in its fourth year! The funds raised stay here in Eagle County to support those diagnosed with breast cancer.
We are grateful to the many participants and sponsors who made this possible and especially Rich Staats and Justine Nadherney and their volunteers for their tireless efforts in putting the event together. We also want to thank Vail Resorts for making the event possible and for donating season passes as the grand prize and, also, the crew at Beaver Creek who worked so diligently.
It is so heartwarming to see how many young, enthusiastic boarders supported LFTL — not only by raising money and breast cancer awareness, but also by going out of their way to create spectacular, crowd-stopping costumes! The funds raised will go to the Vail Breast Cancer Awareness Group’s programs including “Day to Play,” as well as medical support for those fighting the disease.
