Vail Daily letter: Bus driver unfriendly
Vail, CO, Colorado
Dear Mr. Cantankerous Bus Driver: You did not allow my children (aged 10 and 12) to ride the town of Vail bus with a medium-sized pool float the size of an inner tube. You were not friendly to them when delivering this news. These are local children whose parents pay plenty in town of Vail taxes, which in turn pay your salary. I want to give you the benefit of the doubt and consider it is a rule you have been given.
The following is a list of items that are allowed on the bus year-round and pose much more of a hazard then a lightweight pool float: skis, ski boots, ski poles, snowboards, baby strollers, skate boards, suitcases, drunken groups of men and women, parents with babies in a backpack on their backs, and so on. Seriously, town of Vail Transportation Department, please allow well-behaved kids with pool floats on the bus. This was not a nice experience for them and a pretty silly rule. If this is not a rule, please educate your drivers. And to Mr. Cant nkerous Bus Driver, please smile when you greet my kids!
