Vail Daily letter: Corcoran for surveyor
Gypsum, CO Colorado
This letter will be short because I know most of you, like me, are getting tired at looking at long drawn out letters for various candidates for public office.
Admittedly, I know little about surveying, but I do know a lot about Dan Corcoran. Dan’s character, integrity and honesty are things in short supply these days when election time rolls around.
Some years back, I had the privilege to serve with Dan on the Eagle County Board of Education, and Dan was always someone I could count on for logical and stable reasoning, so I always listened when Dan spoke. Dan Corcoran is someone who always brought integrity to the table with no personal agenda of his own, and I would love someday to see Dan on another board helping to make decisions for us the taxpayers.
Granted, the Office of Eagle County Surveyor is not a position on a board, but you can always count on Dan to perform his duties honestly and as effectively as he has done for the last four years as our county surveyor.
Having owned his own surveying business in Eagle County prior to retirement, Dan knows what he is doing and if there was anyone more in tune to “accountability” in serving us, the taxpayers, I don’t know who it would be.
