Vail Daily letter: Eagle Town Board member always helpful

Jon Asper
Eagle, CO, Colorado

I am well acquainted with Mikel Kerst, an incumbent Eagle Trustee Board member. Mike

is a behind-the-scenes kind of guy. He works quietly and without recognition on many projects that benefit the town and its residents.

It really doesn’t matter to Mike that he doesn’t receive credit for many of the projects he is involved in. What matters to him is that the project gets done.

Here’s a list of some of the projects Mike has worked on over the years: the Masons Toy Drive, senior-citizen-assistance programs, community food drives, Fill the Boot, St. Baldrick’s and the Greater Eagle Fire benefit.

Mike is a man of few words, but he is always listening and paying close attention. He gathers pertinent information by doing this research and “homework.” Mike always thoughtfully weighs all sides of any issue. When Mike speaks, people need to pay close attention because he knows what he’s talking about. I endorse Mikel Kerst as a town trustee. He will continue to work hard for the best interest of Eagle’s residents.
