Vail Daily letter: Eagle traffic would double
Vail, CO, Colorado
On April 24 the town of Eagle trustees will continue their review of the Haymeadow project.
Specifically, they will evaluate the impacts on traffic that this project will bring to Eagle. If the addition of nearly 10,000 car trips a day and the installation of four new traffic lights (three in Eagle Ranch) concerns you, than make a point of attending the meeting.
As way of reference, the current trip count on Sylvan Lake Road in the Village Homes neighborhood is 1,865 vehicles per day, while Capitol in the 200 block was 5,637 vehicles per day. Imagine the traffic split evenly between those two streets and decide if that is part of your vision for Eagle.
