Vail Daily letter: Environmentally mindful

What are you doing for your community? Is the environment around you safe and healthy?

In our community today, we try hard to keep our neighborhoods and environment safe, but do we try hard enough?

I think our environment could be better looked after. More of us need to be mindful of what we do with our garbage. If everyone could pick up their trash and disposed of it, our community will be a better place to live. Even better, people can buy or use reusable things.

Another way people can help out is by picking up a piece of trash. There are many upcoming opportunities to help out, one being the Community Pride Highway Clean Up on April 28.

Recycling is another way people can help the community!

You could also do other things besides picking up trash. One way to help the environment is to conserve energy. Just by doing the simple things like turning off lights when they are not needed, unplugging chargers when not in use, turning off the water while you brush your teeth, and even taking a shorter shower, can help in tremendous ways.

People need to help the world we live in because it gives us so much!
