Vail Daily letter: Fashion statement
August 5, 2010
A letter about cyclists staying on their paths or making them obey the rules of the roads got me to write.
The well-dressed and -equipped cyclists who demand we “share the road” should themselves be made to share the wealth. Most ones I see zip around wearing expensive outfits on even more expensive bikes. They probably all voted for Oba-mao, so let’s tax them aplenty!
Karl Marx would agree completely. Instead of yelling obscenities at innocent drivers and bystanders as some of the cyclists do, they should put their money where their mouth is instead.
They’re probably trust-fund kids anyway, so easy come, easy go.
