Vail Daily letter: For Fisher
Vail, CO Colorado
As our state and country prepare for the last week of dogged partisan fighting over the election, one thing becomes clear: Responsible and committed public servants who have been working diligently and humbly to actually solve problems at the local level should be re-elected. Eagle County Commissioner Sara Fisher is exactly that kind of public servant.
Sara has been selflessly serving Eagle County since I met her 20 years ago. At a time when county revenues are forecast to drop by millions, Sara is committed to ensuring that Eagle County will live within its means even while she preserves open space and is laying the groundwork for a senior care facility.
Sara’s long track record of providing compassionate and pragmatic leadership – for 10 years as clerk and recorder and the past four years as commissioner – gives her the kind of experience we desperately need as Colorado emerges from the economic recession.
I’ve always been impressed and heartened by Sara’s tireless work ethic and sincerity of purpose. She embodies the values we look for in public servants, and I hope you will join me in supporting her on Election Day.
