Vail Daily letter: Grateful for kindness
Vail, CO, Colorado
The family of Benita Cruz would like to thank everyone who helped us through this difficult time. To the Vail Valley Medical Center emergency room staff, ICU nurses, all the doctors, nurses, care techs and anyone else I may have forgotten … we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the respect and loving care you gave to our mother-grandmother-great-grandmother during the nine days she was in your facility.
Thank you to the kitchen staff for making sure her family was taken care of, as well; to the nurse who consoled my granddaughter; and to the doctor who eased my mind.
To the Hospice staff, thank you for your help. A special thank you to Dr. Mark Stephens for all the years you took such good care of her, for visiting her at the hospital, and for being at her funeral service. Your dedication to your patients is exemplary.
To the friends and relatives who visited my mom, not only at the hospital, but at home as well … thank you for being there for her. For the prayers, phone calls, cards, visits, and so many other things that you all did for our family, words cannot express our heartfelt gratitude.
We were blessed to have her in our lives for all these years. She will be in our hearts forever.
Thank you all for being a part of her life, and thank you for being there for her family.
