Vail Daily letter: Great event
Chairperson, ECO Trails Citizen Committee
Now that the busy summer has ended, the ECO Trails Committee would like to thank the very generous organizers, sponsors, donors and participants in this year’s 25th-anniversary Casual Classic Bicycle Ride from Breckenridge to Vail. The event was once again well organized and casual yet elegant, and the weather could not have been better.
The Sonnenalp Foundation, Faessler family and Sonnenalp staff hosted yet another excellent event to benefit the Sonnenalp Foundation as well as the ECO Trails program and the effort to construct a valleywide trail system. The Casual Classic has become known as a fun event with great camaraderie, alpine scenery and a delicious picnic lunch at the finish with prizes and merriment. Everybody walks away at the end of the day with a smile on their face.
Special thanks to Rosanna and Johannes Faessler, the Sonnenalp Resort of Vail and the amazing, unstoppable Sonnenalp staff of selfless volunteers, event organizer Michelle Davis, Colorado Mountain Express and drivers, Alpine Bank, Todd Pierce Photographer, Venture Sports – Mike Brumbaugh, ECO Transit, Masters Gallery, The Golden Bear, Moet Chandon – the Hennessy family, Luca and Jenn Bruno, Pismo Gallery, SteamMaster, National Velvet Drycleaners, Knox Gallery at Beaver Creek, Simba Run Resort, Christie Lodge in Avon, Eagle Ranch Golf Club, Broadmoor Resort, The Brown Palace, Cos Bar Vail, Axel’s of Vail, Vendetta’s, Scott Rella – Fear No Ice, Donny Z, Musician, Sysco Foods, Shanahan’s of Denver, and all the amazing, unstoppable Sonnenalp staff and all other selfless volunteers!
