Vail Daily letter: Great rummage sale

Sue MottVail, CO, Colorado

Many of you attended the Eagle Valley Community Fund Rummage Sale the past couple of weekends and ended up with some great bargains! It took a lot of volunteers to help organize and set up for the sales. We appreciate the hours they donate and the shopping that you do. About 65 nonprofit groups benefit from the revenues generated by the rummage sale. “Sue’s Cafe” is my project, and many folks stopped and chatted while getting coffee, doughnuts, baked goods, lemonade and iced tea. There are many organizations and people who make this cafe a great success, and we want to express our appreciation to them for their continued support.Folks and companies that were financial sponsors included Carl Dietz’s Management Co.; Gallegos Corp.; Fred Otto; Bob and Helen Fritch; Bruce Allen; Oran Palmateer; Swallow Oil; Warner Developments Inc.; 4 Eagle Ranch; Segerberg, Mayhew Architects; Wells Fargo Bank; Johnson, Kunkel & Associates; Black Bear Real Estate; Castle Peak Veterinary Services; and the Eagle Valley Enterprise. They are awesome!Stores that furnished food and drink items were City Market, Safeway and Village Market. They sure helped make my shopping for supplies easy. Now for the goodies everyone gobbled up, including cookies and other baked items: Beaver Creek Coyote Cafe; Gypsum Columbine Market; Minturn Turntable; Avon Columbine Bakery; and Beaver Creek Blue Moose. I must tell you, I’m not a sweet-eater, but I did have to indulge in those scrumptious baked goods. All of these contributors made Sue’s Cafe a great success in support of the rummage sale. My heartfelt thanks go out to them! Sue Mott Eagle Valley Charitable Fund board member
