Vail Daily letter: Hunting the true hunt
In searching for information on Tred Barta, I came across your web site, and article on Tred! I have followed his shows, and was saddened when he became ill, and have kept him in my prayers.
The reason I am sending this is, I just watched his recent bear hunt and I am so proud of what he has accomplished as a human being and hunter. I share his love for the hunt, and hunting is part of my nature also. I, too, used to hunt with a long bow, then a recurve, and progressed to a compound until I became disabled. Now on the few times I can hunt, I have graduated to a cross bow.
Like Tred, I hunt for the true hunt, and I respect the animals I hunt. That is why Tred’s shows have always been great. He show us that it isn’t about the biggest buck, or the biggest rack, or the biggest anything. It is about man and nature and hunting the right way.
God bless you, Mr. Barta! And may the great spirit, our God, place his healing hand upon you!
