Vail Daily letter: In praise of McInnis’s honesty
July 24, 2010
I am not an aficionado when it comes to politics, but I have arrived at the following conclusion. Politics is a game of mudslinging and no one is without their stains. In light of recent events for all candidates, here is what I have to say to each:
Mr. Hickenlooper: I like your ideas about job creation and as a small-business owner, that is on the top of my priority list. But considering that as mayor of Denver you have chased out thousands of jobs, what makes you qualified to make those kinds of decisions?
Mr. Maes: Frankly, I don’t understand why you are still in this race. You are vastly unqualified for such a task, and how exactly did you merit the title of “successful businessman”? How many companies did you “turn around”? How come “we the people” have not heard from the companies you helped? I am skeptical of your tactics since you have recently been caught allegedly stealing from your own campaign, which is essentially a business.
Mr. McInnis: I appreciate your honesty and your willingness to correct your errors. I just hope you understand that such errors cannot be repeated. I think its great that you can show strength in a time of adversity in the face of the liberal media berating you. I look forward to seeing how you turn a negative into a positive.
