Vail Daily letter: Intelligence motherlode
May 12, 2011
In Don Rogers’ “What’s there to cheer?” column, dated Friday May 26, he wrote, “The world is no safer for the raid, sadly enough,” referring to the Osama bin Laden raid. If one were to follow that logic, why are we chasing after any terrorists, or the information we might get from them?
The United States’ “most wanted” man, was dealt with, along with gathering 2.7 terabytes of information (for those of you that don’t know, that’s about 550 million pages, and that, my friends, is a lot of information!). Maybe there just might be a terrorist’s name, or terrorist plot, buried in there somewhere, ya think?
Either Mr. Rogers made that statement to encite my response – I am guessing many feel as I do – or he really does have the spine of a jellyfish! Don, “When does the cycle stop?” “Why can’t we all just get along?” “Make love not war,” etc.
