Vail Daily letter: It was a great prom
Gypsum, CO Colorado
The junior class and sponsor Susan Scott would like to thank the following people and organizations for their support of the 2011 Eagle Valley High School prom.
Prom was held April 30 at the Vail Cascade. It was a night full of fun, food, and dance. The theme was “Wish Upon a Star.” The committee would like to thank the Vail Cascade for continuing to make us welcome in their beautiful hotel. A special thank you to Lindsay Wooten for her assistance.
The Town of Gypsum has been a supporter of our dances for years. They believe in the youth of our community. Howard Tuthill (owner) at Columbine Market has given generously of his money, staff, and time. We can always count on him for prom as well as other activities at our school. A thank you to Susan and her staff (Columbine Market) for helping us decorate our cupcakes. Alpine Bank has been a generous supporter for many years. Thank you for your continued support.
Will Comerford of State Farm Insurance has always given his energy and monetary support to help support prom and other activities at EVHS. Thank you to the Vail Mc Donald’s for donating soda for our event. Also, thank you to Costco and City Market for donations.
The newly organized EVHS Foundation allowed us to do a silent auction to raise money for prom. Thank you to Mark Strakbein and the committee for all your hard work.
The Best Western in Eagle has supported prom by donating rooms for our DJs over the years. We appreciate your help! The owner (Peggy) of the Cascade Village Theater has donated reduced price movie tickets for our seniors for several years. Thank you! Mountain Tuxedo in Avon has always supported our EVHS young men over the years. Thank you, Vito! Spring Creek Floral (located at the airport) donated flowers to our royalty. They were beautiful.
Thank you to all the students and EVHS staff that attended the 2011 prom. It will be a great memory for years to come. If you are interested in helping or donating to the 2012 EVHS Prom please contact Susan Scott at Eagle Valley High School.
