KZYR The Zephyr and The Valley would like to take a moment to express extreme appreciation to this community for their considerable turkey donations during the Ton of Turkeys drive.
This year, we collected over 3,000 pounds of turkeys, a tremendous effort in the wake of such trying economic times. The turkeys donated were given to the Salvation Army to put in Thanksgiving baskets and given to members of our community in need, hopefully giving everyone a chance to enjoy the holiday. We would not have been able to do that without Bighorn Toyota, the Vail Daily and Beaver Creek Resort
A special thanks must go to St. Clare of Assisi students. These students collected and saved enough money to buy over 200 pounds of turkey!
Thank you to every community member, local business and cause that contributed to somebody’s holiday season. Your generosity has made a difference.
