Vail Daily letter: Need traffic control
Vail, CO, Colorado
As I sat in school traffic on Miller Ranch Road this morning, I wondered for the umpteenth time why the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office was not there directing traffic.
Although this area is bad every morning when school is in, and in my opinion they should be there managing it daily, everyone in the valley should know that the lack of proper traffic flow due to the roundabouts being built in Edwards is making the morning traffic in this area considerably worse.
Leaving Singletree via I-70 is not an option at the moment. Leaving Miller Ranch Road via the Edwards spur road with only one “lane” is completely backed up, the bulk of that traffic is exiting via Miller Ranch Road to Highway 6.
This situation should be somewhat resolved within the next two-three weeks and during that time it would be great if the Sheriff’s Office could provide traffic direction from 8-8:30 (at least).
Thanks for listening!
