Vail Daily letter: No hint of ‘Vail’ at Beaver Creek races

Do you remember the discussion about the world championship in Beaver Creek? I’ll send you a German article about the races in Beaver Creek.

There is not one word about “Vail” or “Vail/Beaver Creek.” The races are in Beaver Creek, and the World Championships will be in Beaver Creek.

If there is anybody dreaming about Vail/Beaver Creek, forget it.

Vail has disappeared from international ski racing when some smart people built this ugly coffee shop at the finish line.

Vail was well-liked by all the coaches as a good race course and an excellent organization.

The Longevity Project is an annual campaign to help educate readers about what it takes to live a long, fulfilling life in our valley. This year Kevin shares his story of hope and celebration of life with his presentation Cracked, Not Broken as we explore the critical and relevant topic of mental health.

If somebody who is not able to write ran a newspaper, that would be as bad as somebody who is not able to ski running a ski company. For Vail, this is a big loss.
