Vail Daily letter: Not a medicine

Larry Brooks
Vail, CO, Colorado

Just as an FYI, I am one physician who does not want to see any more of these pot drug shops in our county. The chances that there are 743 people in Eagle County with debilitating illnesses that require marijuana use are non-existent.

Their debilitating diagnoses would not be able to be confirmed by any reputable physician in more than 10 percent of these cases, and many have not tried normal evidence-based therapy.

Let’s have articles from both sides of the aisle. Some rational thought needs to be put into this subject, and if marijuana is going to be available for care purposes, it should be highly regulated, quality controlled and dispensed by registered pharmacists.
