Vail Daily letter: Polls shift toward health-care reform, Obama

A letter to the editor in the Vail Daily on March 29 quoted a CNN poll showing that 59 percent of Americans were against the health-care bill, while 39 percent were for it. Let’s update that.

The most recent CNN poll shows that 50 percent of Americans said no, don’t repeal the law, while a minority, 47 percent, said yes.

And Obama’s rating (Question: How is he handling his job as president) now favors Obama 50 percent to 47 percent.

That’s up five points from previous polling. And thanks, Vail Daily, for printing the fair and balanced coverage of the contents of the health-care bill written by an AP writer. It stood out amongst the misinformation included in so many recent letters.
