Vail Daily letter: Pro Cycling Challenge a great showcase

Beth Soberg
Vail, CO, Colorado

The USA Pro Cycling Challenge gave Coloradans a chance to showcase the best that our state has to offer, and we delivered.

As a founding sponsor, UnitedHealthcare is honored and inspired to see the outpouring of support from the thousands of Coloradans who made this event possible, including host town Vail.

Your support helped make the race the largest and most successful sporting event our state has hosted.

It’s our hope that events like the USA Pro Cycling Challenge will continue to inspire young people to take up cycling, not just here in Colorado but across the country.

To help them get there, we’re proud to announce the creation of the Bikes for Life program, a collaboration among UnitedHealthcare, Children’s Hospital of Colorado and USA Pro Cycling Challenge to encourage biking as a fun and safe activity for children.

Participate in The Longevity Project

The Longevity Project is an annual campaign to help educate readers about what it takes to live a long, fulfilling life in our valley. This year Kevin shares his story of hope and celebration of life with his presentation Cracked, Not Broken as we explore the critical and relevant topic of mental health.

We hope this program will serve as a catalyst to inspire our state’s youth to become advocates and role models to their families, their peers and the community about the importance of reducing childhood obesity and living active lifestyles.

By supporting children in taking up physical activity of any kind, we can make a lasting difference in their lives and provide a little excitement along the way.

We look forward to another successful race next year.
