Vail Daily letter: Ron Paul dangerous?

Since there wasn’t any coverage of the recent Ron Paul support displayed at the Eagle County GOP Assembly, please let me tell you about a very fascinating development. No, he hasn’t dropped out of the race. No, he hasn’t died. No, he hasn’t retired. But you might think so, given the recent lack of campaign coverage. I’ll put it to you as a friend told me.

“Ron Paul is winning!”

Gandhi said, “First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.” Well, they’re in the fighting mode and ignoring mode both, right now.

Dangerous? Yes. Dangerous … to the Republican and Democratic establishments.

Dangerous … to all of the special-interest empires such as the military industrial complex; the prison industrial complex; the food, agricultural and chemical complex; medical and entitlement complex; the financial complex; Big Labor, Big Pharma, etc.

Dangerous … to things like socialism, fascism, corporatism, the NDAA, the Patriot Act, the new HR 347 Act that makes free speech a felony, the U.N. gun control measures, Agenda 21, etc.

Dangerous … to unconstitutional government constructs, such as the departments of education, commerce, energy and Housing and Urban Development and that little 100-year-old ponzi scheme called the Federal Reserve.

He is so very dangerous … that he has never accepted a penny from lobbyists and lobbyists routinely ignore him because, as Jack Abramoff says, “They know he can’t be bought.”

He is so very, very dangerous … that he wants to stop wasting billions of taxpayer money in foreign countries, bring the troops home to defend this country.

Yeah, a 76-year old OB-GYN who has delivered over 4,000 babies, who has written many books on dangerous things like liberty, life and private property and defending the Constitution, been married and faithful to the same woman for 55 years and who has rarely ever had to change his position on anything while in Congress because, for the most part, he had it all right the first time.

Yeah, he’s dangerous all right!
