Vail Daily letter: Ron Wolfe for water board

Kristi Ferraro Vail, CO, Coloradonewsroom@valdaily.com

Ron Wolfe, the mayor of Avon, is running for the board of the Eagle River Water & Sanitation District. I have served with Ron on the Avon Town Council for the past five years and I can wholeheartedly endorse Ron as a highly effective public official: very community minded, smart with incredible energy and dedication. Ron can accomplish things that seem insurmountable to mere mortals like me. As the chairman of the Eagle County Open Space Committee, Ron has been the driving force behind the land exchange among the county, Avon, the Forest Service, State Land Board, Eagle River Water & Sanitation District and Minturn that will preserve more than 2,000 acres of land in this valley. Ron has also served for eight years on the board of ECO Transit, was a member of the Avon Planning and Zoning Commission as well as the blue ribbon housing panel and he serves on several other organizational boards. Ron Wolfe would be a great addition to the Eagle River Water & Sanitation District board. As a director he would work for clean, plentiful and inexpensive water and lowest-cost non-polluting sewage treatment. Ron’s term as mayor of Avon expires next November, and he is term-limited. I am pleased that he is willing to continue his effective community service as a director of Eagle River Water & Sanitation District . The Eagle River Water & Sanitation District board election will be held on May 4. You can obtain an application for mail-in ballot from Leslie Isom at lisom@erwsd.org or you can vote on May 4 at the following polling locations: Vail Town Hall, Minturn Town Hall, Avon Fire Station and the Edwards Ambulance facility. Please vote, and vote for Ron Wolfe for the board.Kristi Ferraro Avon
