Vail Daily letter: Sorry you were treated poorly
May 26, 2011
Dr. Bash: Your letter was well written and without attaching a moniker to the “Check Point Charlie” attendant, which he perhaps had earned by his behavior. Kudos to you for being so very professional. Any city, resort or business should be most accommodating to handicapped persons, and although Vail Resorts conducts Smile School to encourage their employees to be helpful, I am sorry to hear you had such a bad experience with a town of Vail employee.
Hopefully your plight will be well received and the situation immediately remedied.
As a 40 year, full-time resident of Vail, I’m embarrassed and saddened that anyone, guest or local, should be so treated. I hope you will not judge our beloved town by this encounter.
My apologies for this poor representation.
