Vail Daily letter: Testament to Gallegos

On behalf of the Youth Foundation Board of Directors, our staff, and the thousands of children in our programs over the years that Gerald Gallegos helped along, I want to express our heartfelt appreciation and gratitude for all he did for the children in our valley.

He was a founder of The Youth Foundation, and one of our biggest supporters. I had the great pleasure to work with him over the past couple of years. I know he was proud of the foundation’s efforts and delighted to see the seed of an organization he helped plant grow and bloom.

He may be gone from this earth to a better place now, but he will always be remembered, and the organizations he helped establish here in the valley will continue his work.

There is no greater testament to the man than that.
