Vail Daily letter: Thanks for great night

Susan Scott
Vail, CO, Colorado

I want to thank the following organizations and businesses for helping make the 2010 Junior-Senior Prom at Eagle Valley High School a success.

The town of Gypsum, Alpine Bank, Capitol Theatre and the Best Western Hotel in Eagle believe in the youth in our community. For the past five years, they have donated money and provided lodging for the prom entertainers.

The theater has given us great rates on tickets for our seniors. They love hearing about prom afterward and enjoy being a part of our students’ lives. We appreciate their help and hope everyone who has a student at Eagle Valley will thank them, as well.

A big thank-you to Jamie Mayne (Eagle Valley teacher) for helping with the decorations.

The Vail Cascade in Vail has graciously allowed us to have prom in their beautiful ballroom. They have gone above and beyond in making sure the night was a success for our students. They even sent a letter last year letting us know what a fine student body we had and the respect Eagle Valley students showed to their facility.

We had at least 30 staff members and parents help sponsor the event this year. Their effort to become a part of prom rather than just being there was appreciated by all the students.

We want to thank Rod and Debbie Morgan for hauling our built decorations in their trailer to prom each year. Without their time and dedication to our students, we would not have a prom.

Thank you to Mr. Strakbein, Mr. Mandeville and Mr. Russell for taking the time to greet each of our students at the door. Eagle Valley High School is proud of creating memories for our students. It is with sincere gratitude we thank everyone who helped with this special night.

Thank you.
