Vail Daily letter: Thanks for service to Vail

Kim Newbury
Vail, CO Colorado

I would like to thank both Farrow Hitt and Mark Gordon for their years of service to the Town of Vail. Having served with each for the entirety of their recent Town Council terms, I can honestly say that it was a pleasure and an honor.

Farrow brought a common-sense approach to all decisions, and was able to bring a wonderful perspective and sense of reason to the table. He was always well prepared, and down to earth, straightforward, and able to discuss any topic with a great memory for its history and intent. We could always rely on Farrow to remind us where we started and in which direction we meant to go.

Mark added tremendous passion and enthusiasm to the Town Council. He was our “idea guy,” always thinking out of the box with creative solutions and new inspirations. Mark was committed and eager, and worked extremely hard in his goal to improve the town. He volunteered tirelessly for supplemental boards and commissions, and was intimately involved and dedicated to all of them.

Both Farrow Hitt and Mark Gordon made an indelible impression on our town, and their work has improved Vail. I am tremendously grateful to them for their dedication to Vail and for serving us with distinction. Thank you, Farrow Hitt and Mark Gordon!
