Vail Daily letter: Thanks for support
Vail, CO, Colorado
The Eagle River Scholarship Fund was established in 1978 and was endowed by the popular Jerry Ford Invitation Golf Tournament. It was the first scholarship established in Vail.
The Eagle River Scholarship Fund has quietly existed in the Vail Valley continuously giving out scholarships for the past 32 years.
The focus of the fund is providing opportunity to as many students as possible in their pursuit of acquiring skills necessary for success in life.
Any form of continuing education is considered, be it a four-year degree at Harvard, a two-year culinary arts degree, or a year studying cosmetology.
We are thrilled to have been named the Benefit of the Month by restaurants Avondale and Larkspur.
As their Benefit of the Month we receive $1 for every person ordering bottled water in both restaurants for the designated month.
The Eagle River Scholarship Fund maintains a zero cost pledge. Every dollar that is donated to the fund is reissued as a scholarship.
We feel very fortunate to exist in such a generous valley surrounded by such giving businesses.
The Avondale and Larkspur Benefit of the Month program is an example of what make this valley great – community-centric actions intent on improving life for all.
The board of directors wishes to publicly thank Avondale and Larkspur for their support of the Eagle River Scholarship Fund.
Cheers (with a big glass of water, of course),
Rod Slifer, Bob Dorf, Mike Jenkins, Heather Rawlings, Kerry Donovan
