Vail Daily letter: Thanks for the support
Vail, CO Colorado
This past weekend, Vail Resorts and the Millennium Society teamed up to host a day of great skiing and an apres ski party to raise awareness and money for the Youth Foundation at Cucina Rustica. The staff and board of the Youth Foundation extend our sincere gratitude to all of those who participated in this fun-filled event, especially to Rob Katz, Chris Jarnot, Kristin Williams, Nicky DeFord and Brian Austin of Vail Resorts, as well as Jill Alfond and Martha Brassel of the Millennium Society.
This opportunity allowed the Youth Foundation to share the latest happenings and launch our newest initiative, the 2010 for KIDS Campaign. This campaign is a grassroots effort to gain 2,010 pledges from individuals who commit to give $20.10 per month throughout the year of 2010 to support the Youth Foundation PowerHours after-school programs. Vail Resorts announced its commitment to match the first $25,000 raised through the campaign, while the Millennium Society also agreed involve its entire membership in supporting the new initiative. Wow, what a statement that will echo through the community!
Having the support of the Vail Resorts ECHO charitable giving program sends a strong message of its commitment to families in this community and its desire to see children thrive and grow in our resort towns. We are so thankful that through our partnerships with Vail Resorts and Millennium Society, we can focus on enhancing our enrichment opportunities, ensuring that children have a safe and fun place to be during after school hours. Their sense of goodwill and willingness to step up for all youth in the valley is commendable! Thank you for investing in our future and for lending a heart-felt hand to build community.
With sincere appreciation,
