Vail Daily letter: Tracy would do well
The Summit Daily wrote a great article about state Rep. Christine Scanlan’s potential replacements, and one name mentioned was Emily Tracy. While I understand that this is a committee process and not a public election, I still wanted to voice my support for Tracy’s candidacy.
When I ran for House District 56, I relied greatly on Tracy’s work, as she ran the Legislative Affairs Council for the Summit Chamber. Through her work, along with her husband, Del Bush, Tracy brought political speakers and insight to Summit County on a monthly to weekly basis that was invaluable for a candidate like myself.
In running for state treasurer, it became clear to me that Summit County had some of the most educated voters in all of Colorado and I would give a huge credit to Tracy for putting in so much volunteer time through her legislative affairs group. It’s a group that many counties are missing.
As a state representative representing Eagle, Summit and Lake counties, I think Emily Tracy would do a terrific job, considering all of her excellent volunteer work as mentioned above.
With that in mind, I hope her application for the House District 56 vacancy is taken very seriously.
