Vail Daily letter: Vail’s hospital is great
Vail, CO, Colorado
No one wants to be in a hospital, particularly when on vacation, but just having had unexpected surgery at Vail Valley Medical Center, it was a surprisingly, pleasant experience.
From the moment you drive up, you are greeted by a smiling face and receive help with a wheelchair. Admitting was quick and the office waits to see a doctor were short.
A total of six doctors were involved in determining the cause of my problem and then determining if it was safe for me to have the surgery. Every one of the doctors, PAs, nurses, CTs and staff could not have been more kind, pleasant, empathetic and understanding in their performance.
I particularly want to thank Dr. Donald Corenman; Adam Cohn, PA; and Eric Strauch, PA. Without their fantastic coordination to make all the necessary arrangements for the surgery, I would have had to suffer excruciating pain over the long Labor Day weekend.
Both my wife and I have been patients at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. This hospital has worldwide recognition and is ranked as one of the best hospitals in the country.
We have that hospital on a pedestal, and now Vail Valley Medical Center joins them.
If those in the valley have not been a patient at Vail Valley Medical Cente , they are fortunate but should realize that if they should need the institution they will be in one of the very best hospitals with a fantastic staff.
We will be forever grateful to all those wonderful caring people.
