Vail Daily letter: Well-run place
Vail, CO, Colorado
My wife and I recently had the pleasure of participating in a cowboy action shooting event at the Gypsum shooting complex (Eagle Valley Rod and Reel Club).
May I say we were more than pleased? Not only by the awesome beauty of Colorado’s canyons and mountains, but we were absolutely taken aback to see how much your shooting complex has to offer the public.
We understand that the NRA, Wildlife Division, 4-H clubs and many organizations of your community use this facility to educate and inform the public on gun safety and shooting sports. It takes cooperation of all these clubs at this event center, as well as the community, to make this complex so great. Hats off to you!
The food was exceptional, and the trophies were so nice. The event was well-organized, and we enjoyed the stages and side matches offered to the participants.
The members and the people in charge are to be commended for the fine job they do at your complex. We are looking forward to the next year’s shoot and hope the community continues to cooperate and support the complex and the Castle Peak Wildshots.
