Vail Daily letter: What do you think about proposed Edwards development?
July 4, 2010
Sketch plan review of the Eagle River Meadows Planned Unit Development is under way, and the Board of County Commissioners is looking for your input on this land use file. The development is being proposed where the B & B gravel pit in Edwards exists today. Since garnering a recommendation for approval from our Planning and Zoning Commission, we have hosted two public meetings regarding this proposed development — one in Eagle and one in Edwards. While we appreciate the thoughtful input from the few citizens who attended these meetings, we are concerned that we haven’t heard from more of you. Local input is vital to us when making decisions on development proposals. While we cannot comment on the specifics of this, or any, active land use file, the one thing we can be certain of is it will bring changes to the Edwards community. Our next meeting is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.Tuesday at Battle Mountain High School. Video of our two previous discussions are available for review online at http://www.eaglecounty.us. If you are unable to attend, call planner Scot Hunn at 970-328-8624 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org to provide feedback. If the future direction of Edwards is important to you, now is the time to get involved. Sara Fisher, Peter Runyon, Jon Stavney Eagle County Board of Commissioners
