Vail Daily letter: Where’s the common sense?

Tom Boyd’s Valley Voices commentary is a joke. I just love liberals/ progressives. Instead of debating points of issues that affect us all ( which they can’t), they rant and rave about the success of what he calls “propagandistic messages” of Fox News. He attempts to marginalize Fox News’ suc-cess by putting it up against the viewership of prime- time network shows and the ” more in- depth news and well- reasoned editorials” of the New York Times. Both of which are bankrupt, I believe (pun intend-ed).

A free press, the founding fathers believed, was an essential check against despotism. I wonder why Fox News is so popular when we have a government involved in social justice and redistribution of wealth and not following the will of the people. Whatever happened to the party of JFK where he said, “Ask not what your country can do for you – ask what you can do for your country”?

The shills for the liberal/ progressive agenda at MSNBC and CNN are so impo-tent. I cannot even make it through a news segment. Common-sense discussions are nowhere to be found here.

Like it or not, Fox News is just what the founding fathers ordered.

Vote out all incumbents in 2010.
