Ron Wolfe is running for the board of the Eagle River Water and Sanitation District. Ron’s broad experience in both the private sector and public service will make him a superb Water and Sanitation District Board member.

Ron Wolfe has been a tireless public servant. Ron’s has served on the Avon Town Council for eight years and has been mayor of Avon for six years, leading us through our current dramatic budget cuts.

In my three and a half years of serving with Ron on the Avon Town Council, he has always been open, approachable, encouraged a variety of ideas, and desired a diversity of opinions.

Ron is term limited, so his time on the council will expire this November.

Ron has been on the ECO board and chairman of the Eagle County Open Space Committee. He continues to doggedly pursue the preservation of 2,300 acres of land in a multiparty land exchange.

The waste heat recovery project in Avon is a partnership between the Eagle River Water and Sanitation District and Avon. This project will lower water temperatures, use captured heat to warm the Avon Recreation Center and be a model of energy efficiency for other communities to follow.

May 4 is the Eagle River Water and Sanitation District election. Mail-in ballots can be obtained by e-mailing Leslie Isom at lisom@erwsd.org or you can vote on May 4 at one of these locations: the Vail Town Hall, Minturn Town Hall, Avon Fire Station, or the Edwards Ambulance facility.

These are at-large elections like the county commissioners so you can vote for all the seats up for election.

I encourage you to vote for Ron Wolfe on May 4. Ron will work for abundant and clean water of the highest quality while making sure that costs are minimized.

Having Ron Wolfe on the Eagle River Water and Sanitation District Board will help our community continue to move forward in a positive manner.
