Vail Daily letter: Working on those i-70 lights
Vail, CO, Colorado
I’m writing in response to the Oct. 30 letter from M.G. Gallagher regarding lighting on ramps along I-70 and a section near Dowd Junction where water on the roadway existed.
Our two electricians for CDOT’s Region 3 are in the process of replacing ramp lighting or repairing problems that exist, if necessary. They attend to state highway signal and lighting operations in 14 counties in northwest Colorado and will make every effort to complete their work on I-70 as quickly as possible.
Since this letter ran, we received a complimentary phone message that Mr. Gallagher had left us, thanking CDOT crews for attending to the lighting at Avon. I would like to thank him for that – we’ll continue the progress.
The drainage problem on the section near Dowd Junction has also been remedied.
