Vail Daily letter: Wrong message

Melinda Brandt

I wanted to express my concern over the Vail Daily from Monday, April 25.

I am disappointed to see a picture of bunnies drinking out of carrots on the front page and another large picture of a women with a beer in hand while having wine poured into her mouth. I have no problem with what people choose to do on the mountain but I feel as though this edition of the Daily is conveying the wrong message to our youth. As a teacher and parent, I am well aware of the influences that our children encounter on a daily basis, but I did not expect to see this type of “celebrating” glorified on the front page of the paper.

I hope that the Daily will choose more tasteful pictures in the future to show events that take place in our wonderful community.
