Vail Daily obituary: Faye Allison Taylor Lowe
Faye Allison Taylor Lowe, 80, passed away March 14, 2017. A native of Mineral Springs, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Gaither Coan Taylor.
Faye was also preceded in death by her husband, John W. “Bill” Lowe and by five sisters and three brothers.
Faye was a long-time member of West Asheville Baptist Church. She was also a long-standing member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Eagle and Asheville, North Carolina, where she held various offices. She worked at Vail Valley Medical Center in Vail for about 12 years before moving back to Asheville. Faye then spent a lot of her time volunteering at St. Joseph Campus of Mission Hospital.
She is survived by three daughters, Lynn A. Barnwell, Ellen C. Swanson and Beth G. Weiss; four grandchildren, Taylor R. Swanson, Caroline L. Swanson, Jacob S. (Amy) Weiss and Jessica L. Weiss; two great granddaughters, Skylar D. Weiss and Holly M. Weiss. Faye is also survived by several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Friday in the Chapel of Morris Funeral Home, 304 Merrimon Ave. with the Rev. Stan Welch officiating. The family received friends one hour prior to the service. Interment was held at Riverside Cemetery, 53 Birch Street, Asheville, North Carolina.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the West Asheville Baptist Church Building Fund, 926 Haywood Road, Asheville, North Carolina, 28806.
