Vail Daily Town Talk: Sew For Families

The Eagle Valley Library District is excited to host a sewing service program during Teen Night at the Avon Public Library with local nonprofit, Patterns of Joy Life Skills Enrichment. The program will take place at the Avon Public Library on Tuesday, Jan. 16, from 6 to 7:45 p.m. Teens, grades sixth through 12, will sew two fleece hats — one hat to keep and one hat to give to the families of Vail Veterans Program. Minturn development plan could add 181 units to town

Greg Sparhawk, along with partner Jim Comerford, have proposed a large development of fairly small homes for the north side of Minturn, near the town’s railroad yards. The partners are under contract with Union Pacific Railroad for the property, which is across Minturn Road — also known as County Road.
