George Washington during the Revolutionary War or gave aid to the cause. The Daughters of the American Revolution is starting a chapter in the area and will be hosting a genealogical and organizational meeting on Saturady, Sept. 23, at the Avon Public Library from 1 to 4 p.m. Come see if you have an ancestor that would qualify you to join this service organization, meet the prospective members of this new chapter and see all the wonderful things DAR does to support their missions of education, historic preservation and patriotism.
