Beloved Vail Valley bartender dies suddenly

Mike Gotch, a longtime Vail Valley bartender, died unexpectedly Saturday at the age of 42. Some of his many friends posted comments online.

I was there for Mike’s last night at Paddy’s for Karaoke – last Friday. So alive one day and gone the next. Another reminder of how precious and fragile this life is.

This is the third friend over the last year that I’ve had to find out of their passing in a headline in Vail Daily. Mike always poured a cold one just in time for my next song.

This year Kevin shares his story of hope and celebration of life with his presentation Cracked, Not Broken as we explore the critical and relevant topic of mental health.

Save me a seat on the other side my brother. RIP, until we meet again.
