Vail: Dobson Ice Arena to close April 27 – June 3
VAIL – Dobson Ice Arena will close for scheduled maintenance and upkeep April 27 and reopen June 3. Scheduled work includes removing the ice surface and installing new ice; thorough cleaning of the dasher boards, glass and all public areas; preventative maintenance for the refrigeration system, painting and other needed repairs.
During the rink closure, Dobson will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and will continue to offer its skate sharpening service, as well as take registration for its summer camps and programs.
Upon reopening, Dobson Ice Arena manager Jared Biniecki says the ice arena will resume normal operations and programming complete with hockey camps, public skating and its adult hockey leagues.
Additionally, the Bob Johnson Hockey School scheduled for July 14-20 only has 13 spots remaining. Registration and space also remain for the Weekend Warriors Adult Hockey Camp on June 20-23, Pro Ambitions Hockey Battle Camp on Aug. 5-10 and the Northern Edge Hockey Goal Scoring Camp June 17 – 21.
