Vail: Dobson ice show sign-up ends May 1

VAIL, Colorado ” Skaters of all skill levels and ages are encouraged to participate in this year’s ShowTime skating show at Dobson Ice Arena in Vail, Colorado on July 5. Registration ends May 1.

This year’s performance, “Love, American, Style,” will have skaters performing to classic love songs such as “Love Potion Number 9” and “Crazy Little Thing Called Love”; songs from this year’s presidential inauguration including “God Bless America” and “Wake Up America”; and songs related to fashion, including “Pretty Woman” and “Uptown Girl.”

Practice will take place June 29 through July 5 at Dobson Ice Arena and cost per participant is $150 to participate in one number or $175 to participate in two numbers. Costs include classes, rehearsal time, costumes, choreography and skate rentals.

Dobson Ice Arena is operated by the Vail Recreation District and is located on the in-town route between Lionshead and Vail Villages. In addition to the holiday skating shows, Dobson offers a variety of skating opportunities including public skating, ice hockey lessons and leagues, skating classes and private lessons.
