Vail extends Lionsridge Loop buses

VAIL -Beginning today, town of Vail buses will extend late season service to Lionsridge Loop to accommodate requests from the neighborhood. The service had been eliminated when the new schedule became effective Monday, with riders from the neighborhood being redirected to the West Vail Green and Red routes.

However, Transit Manager Mike Rose says service will be restored for the Lionsridge Loop residents through the remainder of the ski season as follows: departing Glacier Court at 7:42 a.m., 9:42 a.m. and 11:42 a.m. and leaving the top deck of the Village Transportation Center at 2:42 p.m., 3:42 p.m. and 4:42 p.m.

Most other outlying routes will provide 40-minute to one-hour service during peak times and one-to-two hour service during non-peak times. Additional service will be provided on weekends and during special events, Following the close of the ski season on April 18, the town will begin operating its spring bus schedule through May 30.
