Vail Film Festival offers sneak preview

The Vail Film Festival Thursday night will show a 90-minute program of award-winning shorts, including this year’s live action Oscar winner, “The New Tenants,” starring “Law & Order’s” Vincent D’Onofrio. Admission to the films, which will be shown at Vail Mountain, is $10 at the door. Films include: • “Lessons From a Tailor,” a portrait of a Holocaust survivor who learned the art of tailoring• “Unattached,” a student Academy Award winner about modern Orthodox Jews on Manhattan’s Upper West Side.• “The Lost Tribes of New York City,” about urban anthropologists who study New York City’s overlooked citizens.• “Team Taliban,” a man struggles to balance his Muslim faith with his pro-wrestling career, in which he portrays a terrorist in the ring.• “Thompson,” about two high school friends who try to outrun adulthood.• “Princess Margaret Blvd.,” in which a woman defiantly confronts Alzheimer’s disease,.• “The New Tenants,” which is set amidst two men’s unopened boxes and hopes for a fresh start on what might just be the worst moving day ever.Attendees will have the chance to win two VIP passes to this year’s Vail Film Festival, screening over 90 films, and taking place April 1 through 4 in Vail and Beaver Creek.
