VAIL — Aria Athletic Club at the Vail Cascade Resort launches its annual Spring into Summer fitness challenge. Beginning Monday, Aria will offer a six-week program that challenges snow enthusiasts to shift their fitness from ski season to their favorite summer sports.

“As the snow begins to melt, the flowers begin to bloom and the mountain comes alive. Springtime is a welcome respite as we transition from winter sports to summer activities,” said Patti Hyre, personal trainer at Aria Athletic Club. “At Aria, we want to breathe new life into fitness routines and challenge the everyday athlete to become physically prepared for all the outdoor summer activities that we all love to do in Vail. We not only produce athletes, we produce fitness and through this program, we can help participants reach their summer goals.”

The six-week Spring into Summer challenge is designed to get participant’s mind, body and spirit in tune. Participants will track their progress along the way and will measure results with a BioSpace Composition test at the beginning and end of the competition. Each minute working out will earn a point and every class or personal training session will earn 20 points. The goal is to reach 1,600 points by June 1. The first 50 participants that complete the contest and those that lose the greatest percentage of body fat will have the chance to win prizes, including hotel stays in Denver, Bravo! Vail concert tickets, dinner at Atwater, ATV tours, spa treatments, club memberships, personal training sessions and more. The Spring into Summer fitness challenge is free for Aria Athletic Club members and is available to non-members with a six-week membership.

Aria Athlete Club has high-tech machines, an indoor running track, tennis courts, racquetball and squash courts, a basketball gymnasium, an outdoor swimming pool and a calendar with more than 40 classes, including spin, yoga, Pilates, barre, Fitall, TRX and more.

In addition, Aria Spa is offering 30 percent off all spa services (excluding packages and waxing) and 20 percent off all nail services through May 31 for participants that need to soothe their sore muscles after a workout.
