Vail grant applications available

VAIL, Colorado ” Applications are now available to nonprofit organizations or other agencies intending to request funding from the Town of Vail’s 2010 budget.
Application packets are available at the town’s Municipal Building, 75 S. Frontage Road, or by e-mailing Kathleen Halloran at firstname.lastname@example.org. The deadline to request an application is May 29, with completed applications due by 5 p.m. June 26.
Nonprofits must complete a balance sheet and describe how they plan to use the funds as funding will be determined solely from the applications.
Submissions must include an electronic copy e-mailed in a PDF format to email@example.com. In addition, 12 copies of the application must be dropped off at the town’s Municipal Building, 75 S. Frontage Rd., or postmarked no later than June 26 and mailed to:

The Longevity Project is an annual campaign to help educate readers about what it takes to live a long, fulfilling life in our valley. This year Kevin shares his story of hope and celebration of life with his presentation Cracked, Not Broken as we explore the critical and relevant topic of mental health.

The requests are scheduled to be discussed by the Vail Town Council in September. Funds will be disbursed in March of 2010.
The Vail Town Council has awarded approximately $1.4 million to fund programs.
