Vail grant applications available
Vail, CO Colorado
VAIL – Grant applications are now available for nonprofit organizations or other agencies intending to request project funding from the town of Vail’s 2012 budget. Application packets are available at the town’s Municipal Building, 75 South Frontage Road or via email to Kathleen Halloran at khalloran@
vailgov.com. The deadline to request an application is May 31, with completed submittals due no later than 5 p.m. June 30.
The submittal packet includes three forms that must be completed in their entirety, including an application, a balance sheet and a statement of sources and uses. Funding will be determined solely from the written submission; no in-person presentations will be held. An electronic version must be emailed to email@example.com, and 12 copies of the application must be dropped off at the town’s Municipal Building, 75 South Frontage Road, or postmarked no later than June 30 and mailed to: Town of Vail Finance Department, Attn: Kathleen Halloran, 75 South Frontage Road, Vail, CO 81657.
All agency requests for cash contributions, in-kind services and parking-pass donations for the 2012 budget year will be considered during this process. The requests will be scheduled for discussion by the Vail Town Council in October. Final action on the requests will take place with adoption of the 2012 budget, and funds will be disbursed in March of next year.
In the past, the Vail Town Council has awarded approximately $1.4 million to fund programs that foster the town’s funding criteria: their direct benefit to the entire community of Vail, their fulfillment of the town’s mission and a positive impact on the resort community’s health.
