Vail: Heuga Center’s "Can Do" program returns

VAIL, Colorado” The Heuga Center for Multiple Sclerosis’ CAN DO program in Vail, Colorado will allow people and families living with multiple sclerosis learn more about the disease and how to improve their quality of life.
The five-day series of workshops and lectures takes 25 participants with multiple sclerosis and one support partner (often a family member or friend). Participants will meet with 45 multiple sclerosis specialists, who will answer questions and give recommendations based on individual assessments and lifestyle goals.
The focus of the program, which takes place in Vail from May 13 to May 17, is to teach participants how to maximize their health and improve their quality of life.
The Heuga Center is offering one night’s free lodging for those who register by Wednesday.
The center offers three health and wellness programs for people who have multiple sclerosis and their families. Besides the five-day program, there is a two-day follow up, and the one-day Jump Start program.
The Jump Start program is an introduction to the Heuga Center’s philosophy that you can have a chronic condition and have your health. Scholarships are available for the programs.
